As June brings with it the promise of beautiful weather, so does it herald the school holidays for secondary students around the country. And while the reality of Covid that stole Summer 2020 is still with us – there are a number of summer schools and camps available online and hopefully outdoors that students can sign up for and engage in subjects they are interested in. Whether it’s music, sport, computers, business or languages, there’s something for everyone. So take a look and see how you can develop and grow your skills and passion for your favorite subject!

Below we take a look at some of the events on offer over the next couple of months for Transition Year, 5th or 6th year students.

UCD Virtual Summer School

UCD Virtual Summer School takes place from 8 – 11 June 2021 and is a great opportunity to Engage, interact and enjoy from the comfort of your home.

NUI Galway Inventioneers Summer Camp

Inventioneers Summer Camp takes place 8 – 11 June offering TY and senior cycle students an opportunity to join an Entrepreneurship, Creativity and Innovation Summer School.

Maynooth University Senior Cycle Summer Event

Join MU for its free Summer Event – Monday 14th and Tuesday 15th June 10am–12pm.

Two bite-sized information sessions, packed with a variety of speakers, preparing you for a smooth transition to Maynooth University, whether you’re hoping to join in 2021, 2022 or beyond!

Instituto Cervantes Spanish 

Instituto Cervantes are running summer courses online for teenagers 2021 every week from June 14 to August 20.  Teens take part in an online summer courses will have the opportunity to improve their level of Spanish in a fun atmosphere.

Dundalk Institute Of Technology (DkIT) are hosting their Summer Camp, Digital Pizza Parlour 2021 which opens 22nd June 2021.

This year there are seven interesting and fun camps, ranging from building web page, learning to create music with code and building your own mobile apps.
