Starting on the 1st of April, there will be showings of Kids’ Movies at the Goethe-Institut Ireland up to three times per term. The recommend for the movies will alternate from 0-7 and 7-12 years. The showings will take place on Saturdays after the Kids’ Courses, between 1 and 3 pm.
The first Film will be the new 2017 adaption of the James Krüss childrens’ classic “Timm Thaler oder Das verkaufte Lachen”. Directed by Andreas Dresen, starring Arved Friese, Justus von Dohnányi and Axel Prahl.

The redevelopment of the Goethe-Institut’s Irish HQ at 37 Merrion Square will see the 1790 Georgian townhouse refurbished to its period glory and welcome the creation of a contemporary mews building for the language school and a new garden on the site. The Goethe-Institut will relocate all services to 62 Fitzwilliam Square until the Merrion Square building re-opens in 2018.
