An Interaction Design & User Experience at DCU Springboard Webinar is taking place for students who are interested in the Springboard HDip in Interaction Design or Certificate in User Experience at DCU.

DCU’s Higher Diploma in Interaction Design is a two-year, part-time course that educates participants about the fundamentals of computing while providing rigorous training in key areas such as web related applications to enhance users’ online experience and user interaction.

Subjects include:

  • Interactive Design
  • Human Computer Interaction
  • User experience (UX) design
  • Computing and Programming Fundamentals

The course will be taught primarily online, with tutorials held on weekday evenings via live online classrooms. A number of face-to-face workshops will take place at Dublin City University on Saturdays. This means you can undertake the course around family or other commitments, regardless of location.

Certificate in User Experience

DCU’s Certificate in User Experience is a one-year, part-time course suitable for those who wish to pursue a career in UX and are unable to attend full-time campus-based programmes. This course help students gain much sought-after expertise in user experience and user interaction.

Modules include:

  • Exploring Interaction Design and User Experience Design (15 credits)
  • Career Transitions and Success module (7.5 credits)

The course will be delivered through engaging teaching and learning methods with a mix of both leading academics and active industry practitioners.


What is Springboard+

Springboard+ is an initiative that aims to provide free/ subsidised education, upskilling and reskilling opportunities through higher education in areas where there is a skills need. Courses are free for people who are unemployed, who were previously self-employed, and for people returning to work. The courses are also available at a 10% fee for anyone in employment looking to upskill or pivot. Many of the courses are flexible and timetable friendly and are structured around part-time, evening or weekend classes
