The IFI (Irish Film Institute) Careers 2021 Events kick off this week. For anyone interested in working in film this is a great opportunity to learn from people working in the industry.

All events will be recorded on Zoom, with attendee cameras and microphones off, with Q&A available via the live Zoom Q&A function. On your confirmation email, you
will also find an email address where you can submit questions in advance.

PLACES ARE STRICTLY LIMITED and all individual students, teachers, and youth workers must register in advance in order to take part.

Recordings will be made available from March 10th on the IFI Careers Space website.

**PLEASE NOTE: By registering for any of these events, you confirm you are a student aged 15-18, or are a teacher or a youth worker. By registering, you also confirm that you have a Parent/Guardian consent to use Zoom
for IFI Careers events.**

ARTHUR MULHERN (Cinematographer)

Arthur Mulhern’s work includes
The Belly of the Whale and Emmy-nominated documentary No Greater Law. He also shot the ground-breaking live-action video game Erica for Sony Playstation. More recently, Arthur has shot Trying for Apple TV+ and Truth Seekers, Nick Frost and Simon Pegg’s horror-comedy for Amazon Prime.

ROSIE BARRETT (Director/Photographer)

Rosie Barrett is a director/photographer whose music video Up De Flats with Gemma Dunleavy is part of the Playback selection showing at Virgin Media Dublin International Film Festival. Blending striking cinematography with a passion for analogue techniques, Rosie’s work has a uniquely vibrant tone and feel.

STEVE JACKSON (Production Sound Mixer)

Steve is an IADT graduate, and has trained extensively as a sound assistant before becoming a full time sound mixer and first assistant. His credits include Vikings,
Penny Dreadful, The Fall, Into the Badlands, and The Dig with Ralph Fiennes. Steve especially enjoys the mix of technical and creativity in his role.

ANDY CLARK (Visual Effects Artist)

Andy Clarke has 20 years’ experience in animation and VFX. Upon graduating from IADT with a diploma in animation and degree in interactive media, he, along with three colleagues, directed and animated music videos for a number of years. Andy is currently VFX supervisor at Outer Limits post-production in Dun Laoghaire.

KAYVON DAMIAN DARABI-FARD
(Story Artist)Kayvon is a British-Iranian story artist currently working in Ireland. He has worked with animation studios such as Cartoon Saloon, Studio Meala, The Disney Walt Disney Company, Netflix, Hasbro, Nickelodeon, BBC in Television, Video Game and Feature Film production and development.
BENJAMIN CLEARY (Director)

Oscar-winning director Benjamin Cleary is currently in post-production on his first feature Swan Song, starring Mahershala Ali and Glenn Close. His virtual reality animation experience ‘Glimpse’ starring Taron Egerton premiered at the Venice Film Festival. He is also working with Amnesty International on a piece in support of worldwide freedom of speech.
