The Bar of Ireland’s The Law Library are hosting the 2021 Green Street Lecture Series. The series will feature talks on a range of luminaries from Irish legal history.

Revisiting landmark cases and their lasting impact, the lectures will be delivered by some of Ireland’s most prominent legal figures.

The series runs onlone from April 22nd–May 13th, 2021

Speaker: Frank Callanan SC

Topic: The tables of the law, graven in the language of the outlaw; John Francis Taylor’s speech at the King’s Inns in 1901, and Ulysses


Thursday 6th May 2021, 5 – 6pm

Speaker: Marguerite Bolger SC

Topic: From Rogues to Role Models for Equality Law; The Evolution of Employment Equality Law in Ireland


Thursday 13th May 2021, 5 – 6pm

Speaker: John O’Donnell SC

Topic: ‘Yous have no merit, no merit at all’ – The Trial and Error of Patrick Kavanagh
