The Law Society of Ireland is hosting a disAbility Legal Network Webinar on Thursday 25 April 2024, 2pm-3pm Online via Zoom
This webinar will focus on the topic of visual impairments in employment and the legal sector. You will hear from two employment integration officers in Vision Ireland Martina Melvan and Shane Merritt, who will discuss vision impairments in the workplace and workplace integration, assistive technology, reasonable accommodations and more.
They are joined by Ryan Kelly, a senior legal counsel for Bauer Media Group and a member of the disabled solicitors’ network advisory committee in the UK, and Sharon Grennan, a Knowledge lawyer in Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and is secretary of the Society of Visually Impaired Lawyers. This panel will discuss how they navigated their careers with a visual impairment, and how our colleagues can be allies and support people with visual impairments.
