Dangerous Goods Awareness (Online) at CILT

CILT Skillnet is running a Dangerous Goods Awareness (Online) from 28 September 2021 from 9:30am – 1:30pm Online via Zoom. The course issues a Dangerous Goods Awareness Certificate.

This Dangerous Goods Awareness course is suitable for anyone working in the transport, warehousing, distribution, and storage industries who may handle dangerous goods and/or hazardous goods.

This course will give you the necessary skills to accept, handle and process shipments containing dangerous goods and show that you are able to correctly apply all the provisions. After completing this training, the student should be familiar with the contents of the Dangerous Goods Regulations and will be able to deal with all types of dangerous goods covered by the Dangerous Goods Regulations.

The course outline is as follows:

– Introduction to Dangerous Goods
– Risk of Dangerous Goods
– Legislation
– What are Dangerous Goods
– The Nine classes of dangerous Goods / pictograms
– Packing Groups for Dangerous Goods
– Containment and packaging of Dangerous Goods

Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a Dangerous Goods Awareness Certificate.

The subsidised cost of the course is €50.
