Cybersecurity is one of the fastest growing industries in Ireland. Kerry College are offering a 56 week Cybersecurity course that will prepare you for immediate employment in an area crying out for qualified professionals.

This programme is designed for learners who are advanced end users and who are considering a career as an IT Technician or Cybersecurity Technician. The programme equips learners with the skills to protect corporate networks, in a world where Security of Remote networks is as essential to Companies as having Internet access.

There are no fees payable on this course. All materials and books are provided. Learner payments may be available to some applicants.

Practical labs will include Network Defence Management, Network Perimeter Protection, Endpoint Protection, Application and Data Protection, Wireless Network Protection, Incident Detection and Response, and Threat Prediction.

Entry requirements

  •  18+ (Minimum age for sitting the EC-Council Exams)
  • QQI Level 4 Major Award, Leaving Certificate or equivalent.
  • Good verbal and written command of the English language (Common European Framework B1 or equivalent).
  • Colour vision test.
  • Drivers licence is desirable for progressing to suitable work placement and employment.
  • Mature applicant route available.
  • Non-EU/EEA applicants must have permission to work in Ireland.
