There are many courses in Tae Kwon Do for both adults and children. 

For adults, it can help them build fitness, improve mobility, flexibility and strength. It will help to improve your physical fitness all the while you gain the benefits of martial arts training. 

Students will learn about self-defence and will develop confidence. This will help them to avoid physical confrontation should the need arise to protect yourself and your loved ones. 

As you learn the skills involved in Tae Kwon Do, you will also have the opportunity to compete against others. You can choose to compete at a national level, or at a novice level against other adults. For those over 35, there are “veteran” sections with competitors of a similar age. You really can start at any age! 

Those looking to start their journey with Tae Kwon Do can join beginners classes and work their way up to advanced and expert levels. They can go on to compete for fun and keep the sport on. 

Belts signify different ranks in Tae Kwon Do. The first is white and yellow and green follow. After this, students can earn blue and red belts before they receive a black belt. This is the highest rank achievable and requires a lot of work.

Tae Kwon Do courses are usually taken by those looking for a new activity to fill their days with. They are offered on a part-time or weekend basis, which means that those who have a busy work schedule or are tied down by other commitments can easily find a class to suit them. 

Participants can take their skills with them as they progress in life and can also join corporate or university teams if that’s the path they choose. 

However, those who enjoy Tae Kwon Do can even go on to lead classes for beginners or those looking to build their skills in the sport. You will be able to teach those who are starting in the same position as you.
