Palmerstown Community School Adult Education

The next term will start on the 24th September 2024.

Palmerstown Community School provides a variety of evening classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays with something to suit all tastes.

We aim to provide quality classes with the best tutors in a relaxed and friendly environment. So whether you want to gain a QQI qualification,  learn a new skill, get fit or get out of the house and meet people we have a class for you.

Tuesday Classes

Barbering, Beauty and Makeup, Business Administration & Skills QQI Level 5, Business Management – QQI Level 6, Computers for Beginners, Couch to 5K,  Care of the Older Person QQI Level 5, Carpentry & Wood Carving – A practical approach (Beginners), Computers MS Office,  Counselling & Psychotherapy, Crochet (Beginners  Improvers), Dancercise (Beginners & Improvers)  English as a Second Language, First Aid Course, French (Beginners  & Improvers), German (Beginners & Improvers) Guitar (Beginners & Improvers), Hairdressing, Herbalism (Beginners)  Irish conversation (Beginner & Improvers), Knitting  (Beginners & Improvers), Painting,  Pilates, Pottery (Beginners)  Sewing (Beginners) Tai Chi, Ukulele (Beginners), Yoga.

Thursday Classes

Angels – An introduction, Care of the Older Person (QQI Level 5), Drawing and Sketching  (Beginners & Improvers) Home Cooking and Baking, Italian (Beginners & Improvers) Meditation & Mindfulness, Nails Course – Acrylic, BIAB and Gel Polish, Purchasing and Procurement (QQI Level 6), Reiki Training Level 1, Setting Up Your Own Business, SNA (QQI Level 5), Spanish (Beginners & Improvers) Tai Chi, Yoga and Zumba.

This year we are delighted to be working in partnership with The Open College to provide the following certified QQI courses –

S.N.A. QQI level 5,  Business Management QQI Level 6, Purchasing and Procurement QQI Level 6 and Care of the Older Person QQI Level 5.

We operate on a self financing basis, classes will run when the minimum number of students is reached to cover the cost of the class. Fees are non-refundable, except in cases where the class doesn’t run.
