Courses.ie is delighted to feature Portobello Institute’s QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Early Learning and Care, a nine-month blended learning programme designed for professionals seeking to build their knowledge and qualifications in the early years sector.
The course is guided by the principles of First 5 and focuses on children’s play, development and learning, while exploring children’s rights, health, wellbeing and different pedagogical approaches. Learners can also tailor their studies through elective modules in Inclusive Education Practice, Montessori Education or Provision of School Age Childcare. Meeting the legislative requirements for working in early years settings, the qualification can support progression into roles such as Early Years Practitioner, Preschool Educator, Montessori Practitioner and Room Leader.
