Medical secretaries (also known as ‘medical administrative assistants’) provide administerial support in high-pressure medical environments, such as hospitals, GP surgeries and private clinics.
Previous secretarial experience is often required before learning how to become a medical secretary. Knowledge of the medical sector, in particular medical terminology, is also highly valued.
