This online session will explore recent and significant employment law cases and examine their implications for employers and employees in the year ahead. Designed for payroll professionals, HR practitioners, business owners, and managers, the webinar will provide practical insights into how evolving legal decisions may impact workplace policies and compliance in 2026.
Participants will gain an overview of emerging employment law trends, including key legal developments, compliance challenges, and potential areas of risk. The session will also focus on practical guidance, offering actionable tips to help organisations mitigate risks and ensure compliance in an increasingly complex employment environment.
The 45-minute webinar will be delivered online, with registered attendees receiving a GoToWebinar link ahead of the event.
The keynote speaker for the session is Paul D Maier, a barrister specialising in work, labour, and employment law. Called to the Bar in 2022, Paul appears on behalf of both employers and employees across all levels of the courts, as well as before the Labour Court and the Workplace Relations Commission. He is also a qualified arbitrator and regularly leads independent investigations and disciplinary procedures for organisations.
Paul is an active member of several professional bodies, including the Employment Law Association of Ireland, the Health and Safety Lawyers’ Association of Ireland, the EU Bar Association, and the Irish Association of Industrial Relations, where he serves on the Executive Council.
This webinar offers a valuable opportunity for professionals to stay informed, prepare for upcoming challenges, and navigate employment law developments with confidence in 2026.
