Europass Platform Goes Live this June

The new Europass platform will offer tools and information for learners, workers and job-seekers across the EU to manage their careers and studies.

Europass Platform Going Live

The new platform will include:

  • An e-Portfolio: an online tool for users to describe their skills, find interesting job and learning opportunities, manage their applications, and create CVs and cover letters
  • Information on working and studying in different EU countries
  • Digital credentials: free tools and software for institutions to issue digital, tamper-proof qualifications and other learning credentials
  • Interoperability: this platform can connect with employment and learning services to allow users connect and make applications.

The new Europass Platform will go live on Monday, 1 June 2020 and will be operational with the features planned for Phase 1. The online public launch of the new platform will happen on Monday, 15 June 2020 and the old platform will then cease to exist.

What Will Change?

The Phase 1 launch, on 1 June 2020 will include an e-Portfolio, including a Library, My Interests, My Skills and Jobs and Courses suggestions for registered users.

The platform will also include search for courses, search for jobs, Europass CV editor, Europass Cover Letter editor, and Country Pages.

Content for stakeholders, including information on the European Qualifications Framework, Digital Credentials and interoperability will also be launched. Priority is being given to finalising translations of content for end-users in all 29 Europass languages and translations of content for stakeholders will quickly follow launch.

Member States including Ireland continue preparation for launch with specific focus on preparing the new Qualifications Data Register (QDR) and updating of communications materials including websites to inform the public about the launch of the new platform.
