The award-winning Diploma Centre at the Law Society of Ireland is running a Certificate in Mediation, starting Wednesday, 20 May 2026 at 6:00 PM
The goal of this certificate is to provide an appreciation of the fundamental principles and practical strategies and skills of mediation in a variety of contexts.
This course is designed to introduce participants to process, practice and skills of mediation and to show how practice is impacted by the regulatory framework around mediation in Ireland. It examines the Mediation Act 2017, which entered into force in 2018, and its objective is to promote mediation as a viable, effective, and efficient alternative to court proceedings, thereby reducing legal costs, speeding up the resolution of disputes, and relieving the stress involved in court proceedings.
