The Webinar Career Guidance Series is aimed at prospective students (Leaving Certificate, Mature students, Adult Learners), parents/guardians and Guidance Counsellors. The next webinar is on Careers in Healthcare – Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, allied health careers, looking at variety of options, key skills, values interests and aptitudes that would best match careers in this area.
Each Webinar is scheduled during the school term on Mondays at 12.30pm to 1.30pm to accommodate Parents during lunch hour ,and Guidance Counsellors who are free at this time to join us (if in class you could project the live webinar). Each webinar will be recorded and a link provided here, this will accommodate those who would like to view the webinar later in the week. Guidance Counsellors can show in class then whenever you are scheduled or students view in their own time – again this will be free for a limited time.
Health care, health-care, or healthcare is the maintenance or improvement of health via the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, recovery, or cure of disease, illness, injury, and other physical and mental impairments in people. Health care is delivered by health professionals and allied health fields. Physicians and physician associates are a part of these health professionals. Dentistry, pharmacy, midwifery, nursing, medicine, optometry, audiology, psychology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, athletic training and other health professions are all part of health care. It includes work done in providing primary care, secondary care, and tertiary care, as well as in public health.
