On the 8th December, at 4pm, join the RAISE Live Discussion: Can chatbots improve student engagement? Is there a role for conversational agents in building relationships with students in HE?

We will hear from Lars Willner about the Edubots project and we will follow his presentation with friendly discussion about what this might mean for student engagement and belonging.  Register now (below) and hear from Lars, and participate in a broader chat about how we build community and support students through remote learning.

The Edubots Project: Have you interacted with a chatbot sometime the last year? Perhaps you have even used it in the context of learning and teaching? The Edubots project is about exploring the best practice use of “chatbots“ in Higher Education. We are asking ourselves how a conversational agent might help improve the learning experience and the learning outcomes of students. Join the webinar to learn more about this topic by consortium leader Lars Willner. He is also CEO of the Norwegian company Differ.Chat that has developed an innovative social chatbot named `Bo´, designed to help students connect with peers and break the ice in 1-1 or group conversations.
