In partnership with your local INTREO office, the Bray Adult Education Centre will be hosting an open day on Wednesday 29th August in their new premises.

TIMES: 10:00-12:00 and 13:00-15:00

The Bray Adult Education Centre (BAEC) is now located right in the heart of Bray, just opposite the Intreo office.  Their new Civic Centre location makes it easier than ever for you to get access to one of their popular courses. These full-time courses are funded by VTOS; part-time courses are funded by BTEI.

Full-Time Options

COMPUTING:

  • Employability Skills in IT – For the beginner (or near-beginner) who wants to learn how to use a computer with confidence.
  • E-Business -For those who want to learn how to do business on-line, including designing for the Internet.

THE ARTS

  • Creative Art & Crafts award- Even those without prior training will surprise themselves.
  • Creative Crafts Level 5 award – For the more ambitious and more advanced practitioners.

PROFESSIONAL TRAINING

  • Special Needs Assisting – Job opportunities for Special Needs Assistants in Primary and Secondary schools are planned.
  • Healthcare Support  – Full professional training in a sector with strong growth.
  • Special Needs in Childcare -Full training in Childcare with excellent career opportunities.
  • Computer Systems and Networks – For those interested in the mechanics of the computer.
  • English as a 2nd Language – English for Beginners.

PART-TIME OPTIONS

  • Computing Level 3 – For those who need to move at a manageable pace but with a keen focus on usable skills.
  • Computing Level 4 – For those ready to gain highly prized professional skills.
  • Workshop Crafts – With a strong emphasis on wood crafts.

About Bray Adult Education Centre

Bray Adult Education Centre exists to provide a second chance in education to adult learners. For the past decade and a half, it has seen some of the most significant developments in education in Bray. Today there are over 150 students attending a variety of certified courses at BAEC. Subjects include Science, History, Information Technology (including Comp TIA A+), Childcare Studies, Art, Metalwork, Woodwork, and ESOL. The Centre also exists to profile and promote student work.

This can be your first step to a better future.  Just walk in – and they can do the rest.  There’s even free education for eligible participants.

      Your best bet is to find the one you’d like to take, then reach out to the training provider through the ‘college details’ section.
