Course Content

Are you interested in Work Experience for Childcare? Forus Training’s Level 5 course is starting on November 20th 2023 for €295.

This 7 week course will equip you with the knowledge, skill and competence to work in a range of organisations or vocational contexts and to engage in vocationally-related tasks independently and or in a supervisory capacity. A planned experiential learning activity that is an integral part of an educational process of this module, prepares the learner planning for work, working under direction in a specific vocational area and reviewing and evaluating that work. You will be able to develop work skills, evaluate employment opportunities and cope with changing work environments.

You can also start the course TODAY with our Self Paced option. Click here for more information.

QQI will be deactivating 5M2009 Early Childhood Care and Education Major Award in December 2023. The current Level 5 Major Award will be replaced with 5M21473 Advanced Certificate in Early Learning and Care.

We are busily working to create the new curriculum so we can offer it to you in the near future. If you already have 60 credits or more towards the current Major Award, you can complete the current Major Award, but you must have all modules completed and with QQI for certification by 12th December 2023.

Each module takes approx 40 - 150 hours to complete - depending on your previous knowledge and ability.

If you have less than 60 credits completed, you could start with the current modules that will be transferable to the new curriculum.

Please call us on 044 9349400 so we can answer any questions you may have.
