Entry RequirementsApplicants must be 16+ years of age on entry to the course. Junior Certificate standard of education or equivalent. Mature applicant route available. Applicants must have completed the Basic Welding Full-Time course or the MMA, MIG, and TIG evening courses or have 2 years of work experience with all 3 processes. Good interpersonal skills. Competent written and spoken English (CEFR B1 or Higher). Non-EU/EEA applicants must have permission to work in Ireland. Applicants will be required to complete a trainability welding test as part of the interview process.
Carear PathThe successful completion of this course will enable applicants to source employment as Coded Welders. The aim of the course is to provide the learners with the skills and related knowledge in Carbon Steel Plate and Stainless Steel at a variety of positions and to develop their attitudes, person effectiveness and job seeking skills to enable them to obtain employment as Coded Welders.
