Online Art Appreciation course. Learn how to ‘read’ a painting and appreciate modern and contemporary Irish artists.
Introduction to Irish Art will provide students with an introduction to approach ‘reading’ Irish art. These informal but sense awakening talks shall give students by a brief introduction to key Irish artists and their works at various times in art history from the eighteenth to the twenty-first century.
The talks will focus on Irish art works, which are held in various collections in Ireland such as the National Gallery of Ireland, Dublin City Gallery, The Hugh Lane and the Irish Museum of Modern Art.
