Micro-credential - Business & Human Rights: Principles & Practice

This micro-credential has been developed to facilitate senior managers, executive leaders, and board directors across the industry in understanding how they can influence, design, and implement strategies that will bring their organisations into alignment with the emerging body of compliance and regulatory frameworks with respect to Human Rights and Business.

It is particularly relevant for managers and leaders looking to help navigate their organisations through internal and external stakeholder-led demands for transparency and better due diligence in relation to Business and Human Rights.

How is this MC delivered?

This course will be delivered entirely online over 8 weeks with a session once a week - Tuesdays 6.30 to 8.30pm.

On successful completion of this micro-credential, learners will be able to:

• Understand, explain, and discuss the principles of human rights in relation to business decision-making.
• Critically assess the level of their firm's compliance with the UN Guiding Principles on Business; Human Rights and relevant EU/Irish regulation.
• Design and communicate a plan for improving their firm's compliance with the UN Guiding Principles on Business; Human Rights.
• Demonstrate self- and other awareness with respect to cultural and environmental perspectives applied to business decisions.
• Undertake independent research on organisational sustainability.

HCI Pillar 3 Learner Fee Subsidy: Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria may qualify for a 50% fee subsidy, subject to the availability of subsidized places.
