Entry Requirements-MINIMUM- -Applicants must be 16+ years of age on entry to the course. -Leaving Certificate, QQI Level 5 Major Award or equivalent. -Mature applicant route available for applicants aged 23+. -Competent written and spoken English (CEFR B2 or Higher). -Non-EU/EEA applicants must have permission to work in Ireland. -ADDITIONAL- -Must have a motivation to learn, an interest in the subject and the ability to acquire the knowledge, skills and competencies set out in the course. -Fluency in a second language is desirable -A full class B driving licence is desirable -Excellent communication & interpersonal skills -Good numeracy skills -Basic computer skills -Garda vetting is a requirement for this programme and participation is subject to a satisfactory outcome of the Garda vetting process. -Able to relate to a variety of individuals and groups is desirable. -Previous relevant tourism industry experience is desirable. -Interest in angling and guiding is desirable.
Carear PathParticipants who successfully complete this course will seek positions as inland angling guides working on a freelance basis or with one the companies specialising in guided inland fishing tours.
