Literature is a course run by Trinity College Dublin, Dublin. From January to April, the School hosts a series of lectures which adopt a thematic approach to the study of literature. The chosen theme varies from year to year, offering members of the public the opportunity to consider English literary works from fresh and thought-provoking perspectives. Themes covered in recent years have included Fear in LiteratureCities in Literature, and Literature and Revolution.

Course TimeClasses begin at 7pm and are hosted in the Jonathan Swift Theatre, Arts Building, Trinity College Dublin. The lecture series will also be recorded. If you purchased a ticket to a particular lecture, to several lectures, or to the entire series, you will be emailed a link to the video recording(s) once these are available (usually the next day). All recordings will be available any time until a few weeks after the lecture series ends.
Course Fee50 for the entire series, with individual lectures €5 each. Concession rates for the full series are €45 or €4 for individual lectures. The concession rate is available to those retired and over 65s, those on a government pension / payment plan, and the unwaged (including second- and third-level students). This rate also applies to Trinity staff and graduates, and groups of 20 or more. Teachers bringing groups of students are entitled to a free Teacher Pass.
