Course Description
Introduction to Irish Archaeology
This course will give the student an introduction to Irish Archaeology. The course will study the archaeological record in Ireland from the Prehistoric to the Medieval and Early Modern Periods. The learner will gain an understanding of the main monument types and material culture found in Ireland as well as how to conduct their own archaeological research. This course will be classroom based with one field trip to an archaeological excavation. There will also be two computer lab sessions.
