A practical journalism course that prepares you to work across all platforms: print, broadcast journalism, online journalism, mobile journalism and social media. First years get to work in our simulated digital newsroom and our hi-tech radio and television studios.Using the latest software, you will produce the college newspaper which has won a series of SMEDIA awards over the past ten years.

The emphasis is on practical work with work placements in both years. Second years compete to do a fully-funded work placement in Finland. Graduates from this course work as sports journalists, reporters, radio presenters, TV producers, editors of newspapers and magazines and more recently in digital marketing positions that require a grounding in multimedia journalism with advanced social media skills.
