Entry RequirementsIf under 23 years applicants must have a Grade D3 in a minimum of 5 subjects in the Leaving Certificate (this must include Maths and English or Irish) or a QQI Level 5 or equivalent. Mature applicants over 23 years of age may be exempted from this requirement and are eligible to apply. All applicants must have competence in spoken and written English. Eligible candidates may be interviewed.

These are high technology value-adding operations which operate in a highly regulated environment. Ongoing training and development of staff in GMP is a normal and necessary part of the industry activity. Career options available include general operators in drug manufacturing and related operations, and quality control and quality assurance.The transfer of persons from other sectors of the economy into the bio & pharmaceutical sector requires that those persons develop a working knowledge and understanding of GMP practices. This programme actively addresses this issue by providing a relevant focused training delivered in the appropriate context.
