Film, Radio and Digital Media Production (MEDIA - 5M18518)
AIM:
This dynamic and practical course is designed for school leavers who want to explore the exciting world of media and build a creative portfolio for progression to higher education. Through hands-on projects in film, radio, photography, and journalism, you’ll learn how to plan, produce, and edit your own original content.
Working individually and as part of a production team, you’ll develop valuable skills in storytelling, technical production, communication, and creative collaboration. Experienced tutors will guide you through each stage of the creative process, helping you discover your strengths and build confidence in your abilities.
By the end of the course, you’ll have a professional portfolio showcasing your work — from short films and photo projects to radio pieces and written features. This QQI Level 5 qualification provides an ideal foundation for further study in media, film, journalism, or communications, and gives you the skills to take your first steps into the creative industries.
Students receive a free Adobe CC software suite licence, for use in college and at home.
