Epilepsy Awareness

If you’re a care worker and you want to expand your knowledge in epilepsy, The Epilepsy Awareness course will provide a wealth of information on epilepsy, and how 40 different types of seizures are the result of this condition. If you work in health and social care, taking this course will explain in detail about epilepsy, why it is called a neurological condition and how it impacts the brain and nervous system. Many people with epilepsy have to live with it their entire lives, while others may be affected only for a part of their life.

The Epilepsy Awareness course will offer insight on the challenges of a person suffering with epilepsy and how to deal with a patient who has a seizure. Key modules will be explored fully with awareness on triggers that lead to seizures and what can be done in such situations. You will become equipped with the relevant skills and knowledge to work with people with epilepsy, and provide the support and guidance they need to lead relatively normal lives.

The Epilepsy Awareness course features practical tips and advice on how to work with epileptic patients, understand forms of treatment and raise awareness on seizures.
