Development of Language in Childhood
This free online course explores the characteristics and theories of language development in children. This course researches the definition of ‘language’ and the various theories of language development. We examine terminologies, such as the concept of ‘phonology’ and its relationship to language. The course will then explain various factors influencing children’s language development at an early age. In addition, we will explore the different language activities in preschool and at home that promote childhood language development.
