This course examines the influence of different global cultures on the history of Western art from the medieval period to the twentieth century. Organised thematically, it will consider how different factors such as religious conversion, trade and the age of discovery on artistic styles and techniques and introduced new fashions to Western art and architecture.

The one-year Development Practice programme encompasses an integrated theoretical and practical approach with multidisciplinary training in four ‘pillars’ – health, natural, social, and management sciences.
This course, delivered by Trinity School of English staff, will provide an introduction to major authors of poetry, drama and prose through close examination of selected texts, chosen from among those prescribed for the Leaving Certificate.
This evening course will run subject to sufficient numbers enrolling – there will be a limited number of places available.
