Calling all QQI Level 5 and level 6 working early childhood educators! Do you want to build your qualifications up to level 7 or 8? This blended work-based BA (Hons) Early Childhood Education and Care (Level 8) offers current early childhood educators an opportunity to build their qualifications through flexible, interactive, on-line and in-person delivery.

This course is run on our Blanchardstown campus and builds strong links between work-based practice and theoretical knowledge through a range of delivery modes convenient to those working in the profession. Students will have the opportunity to link their learning to practice throughout the programme, with significant emphasis on the value of practice led learning and the theoretical underpinnings for practice.

The course is approved by the Qualifications Advisory Board (QAB) as a professional award in Early Learning and Care and eligible for Nurturing Skills Learner fund approval.

Course TimeYear 1 Mondays (6-10pm online) and two Saturdays per month (on campus 9-4pm). Year 2 Tuesdays (6-10pm online) and 5 Saturdays (on campus 9-4pm) each semester.
Entry RequirementsApplicants must hold a QQI Level 5 Major award in Early Childhood and have two years experience working in an early childhood setting. Advanced entry to year 2 may be considered for applicants holding a QQI level 6 Major.
