Overview
Asbestos was a material that was commonly used in years gone by in building and construction. By the year 2000, it was recognised to be dangerous. However, people who still work in the construction industry are frequently exposed to this material. Many of whom end up getting sick and die. If you want to further your understanding of asbestos and how to use it in your line of work safely, Asbestos Awareness will teach you the risks of working with asbestos and the precautionary measures you can take to prevent getting sick from it. It is important to note the Control of Asbestos Regulation (CAR) states that any individual who directly works with asbestos or is exposed to it in some way is provided with adequate information, training and clear instructions.
Key modules are explored in this course that provides you an understanding of how to take the steps to reduce the risks when working with asbestos, discuss legislation and learn the role and responsibilities for the management and upkeep of buildings.
