6.00 – 7.30pm

The course is aimed at beginners and combines drawing and painting skills over eight weeks. Participants are asked to bring HB pencils, coloured pencils and a drawing pad (available in Eason, first floor or Art and Hobby, Jervis Street Centre) and (on some evenings) brushes and paints. The tutor will specify the sizes of the brushes and paint types e.g water colours/acrylics at the start of the course. The class will look at face (portrait) and
body sketching, colour mixing, light and shade. The class will also look at life drawings and compositions later on. There will be classes on finding inspiration, making use of special materials and improving your technique and sketching/colouring skills.
