The Institute of Technology Blanchardstown opened its doors in 1999. Today it hosts over 3,500 students and a variety of Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Part-time and International courses ranging from Engineering to Horticulture. ITB also offers a selection of Apprenticeships and Trades. Our aim is to at ITB is to contribute to the ongoing development of Blanchardstown and provide educational opportunities for those who want to acquire and build on skills that will enhance their careers in the future.

The Institute of Technology Blanchardstown is dedicated to introducing students to the latest in technology and providing them with a hands on experience that will be essential for whatever career path they choose. Among ITB’s campus facilities are lecture theatres equipped with full audio visual suites perfect for digital media. Hi- tech computer labs and language labs with the latest audio based language learning software.

The Institute of Technology Blanchardstown also has an array of clubs and societies available for students to join. Sports clubs include Athletics, GAA, Ultimate Frisbee, Basketball, Swimming and much more. Fun societies such as Film, LGBT, Poker, Music and dance are open for all students to partake in.

Blanchardstown is between a twenty and thirty minute drive from Dublin’s vibrant city centre, but the region on its own has enough to keep students occupied. Restaurants, cinema, Draíocht Arts Centre and Ireland’s largest shopping centre. It is also a great location for outdoor recreation with Phoenix Park close by. Exotic amenities such as Dublin Zoo and the National Aquatic Centre are also a stones throw away.

The Institute of Technology Blanchardstown is a tightly knit campus community with small classes that allow lecturers give there full attention to students.
