Publicjobs.ie is setting The Pitch Schools Advertising Challenge.

Now that Transition year students are becoming familiar with the various career pathways open to them in the public sector, it’s almost time to put their knowledge and digital skills into action.

Launching in early 2022, The Pitch Schools Advertising Challenge is a fun way to challenge TY students to express their creative and digital skills while learning about their future careers.

Students are asked to create a short video advertisement pitching the public sector as an attractive career pathway for their fellow students. Highlighting what they have learned about the diverse and interesting careers available to them in the public sector, students will develop their digital, creative, and communication skills. Not only will it encourage peer-to-peer learning as part of a whole school approach to guidance, but The Pitch is also a fantastic hands-on active learning project perfect for Transition year students.

Winning The Pitch will be an incredibly impressive achievement which students can showcase to future employers on their CV, as well as a good news story for your school.

Teachers and Guidance Counsellors are asked to join the mailing list to receive key updates and to get all the info TY students need on how to create a video and how to get involved.
