Dublin City University (DCU) in collaboration with Technology Ireland ICT Skillnet have organised a BlockEd & Innovation event on May 26th at 3pm as part of Blockchain Ireland Week 2021. BlockEd & Innovation brings together researchers, educators, learners, recruiters and industry representatives.

Included among the topics of discussion are applications of Blockchain in Education, Blockchain research and innovation, opening up opportunities with a MSc in Blockchain @DCU that is partly funded by Technology Ireland ICT Skillnet.

The day’s events will be:

3:00pm Welcome and Intro
3:05pm – Insight into Blockchain in Education, a talk by Prof. Carmen Holotescu
3:30pm – Panel Discussion: Why an MSc in Blockchain? (Andrew Howell, Fintan Duffy, Gonzalo Faura, Donna Boyne, Walter Hasset, and a representative of Morgan McKinley recruitment agency; moderator: Dr. Irina Tal, Academic Lead MSc in Blockchain, DCU)
4:10pm – Blockchain Research@DCU: Application of Blockchain Technology to 5G-Enabled Vehicular Networks, Dr. Malika Bendechache
