Bachelor of Science in Inclusive Practice for Special Needs Assistance

Working in the education sector is an important job which comes with significant responsibilities. Learners on this course, will become part of increasingly multi skilled teams in the workplace. We will equip our graduates to be able to work effectively in contemporary educational contexts and will qualify graduates to work in primary and post-primary settings as SNAs with specialisms in Inclusive Practice. This innovative programme is further designed to enable SNAs across primary and post-primary sectors to integrate Inclusive Practice into their working environments. Competencies in areas such as inclusive practice are becoming increasingly important for schools to maintain a content and productive environment. This programme equips graduates to lead, integrate and promote inclusive practice as part of their SNA duties. Students will experience a range of opportunities for individual, group and experiential learning with on-campus and online classes. ISNA Work PlacementProfessional practice placements provide opportunities to integrate theory and practice and apply knowledge to practice. Students develop and demonstrate the required values, knowledge(s) and practices to work with young children in the context of their setting, family, and community under the supervision of more experienced professionals. Funding OpportunityThis year the Government has approved a part-time fee scheme for SUSI funding. For programmes to be eligible for this scheme they must lead to an undergraduate major award, such as a Higher Certificate, Ordinary Degree, or Honours Degree. You will need to complete between 30 and 50 credits each academic year, with any remaining credits arranged in your final year. Classes can be attended in-person or through a hybrid format that includes some in-person sessions beyond just registration, enrolment, or exams.
